    Santa!!

We have been talking about Santa with the boys for a few weeks now.  And tonight was the night to meet Jolly Saint Nick.  Ethan was excited to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas.  We had role-played what we would do when we visit Santa and it payed off. I will admit I was worried Jackson was going to cry and not want to sit on his lap, but he was great.

Conversation with Santa went like this:

“Ethan what would you like for Christams?”                                                                                            “A choo-choo train.”                                                                                                                               “Like Thomas?”   “Ya, and a Mack”   Blank look on Santa’s face.  Sotney quickly stepped in and explained Mack is form Disney’s Cars. For those of who don’t know, Mack is the Semi that transports Lightning McQueen to the big race.                                                                                                                   “You be good for Mom and Dad, okay Ethan.”                                                                                   “Now what does Jackson want?”   Nothing from Baby J.                                                                      “What does your brother want, Ethan?”                                                                                                     “A choo choo train and  Mack”   Laughs form all.                                                                                Santa leans over and asks Ethan “What if we get him diapers?’                                                                   “No Santa he already has diapers.”                                                                                                          “Oh, ok.  We will get him some baby toys.”

Let me begin by saying how grateful I am for EVERYTHING.  My family, my home, my stable job (and Stoney’s), friends, food, the gospel of Jesus Christ, Stoney, Ethan , and Baby J.

We had a very nice , relaxing Thanksgiving.  We started the day by going to Jim and Crystal’s new house!!  It was fun to talk and relax.  We then headed over to my parents for an absolutley wonderful THanksgiving dinner prepared by my mom and sisters.  It was a perfect day becasue we spent it with the ones we love and we were able to see ALL family members.

On a different note, I was one of those crazy people up at 4:50 am to go shopping at Kohl’s and Shopko.  I did set some nice items, for really nice prices.  I spent an hour in line at Kohl’s to check out, but I was completely done shopping by 7:30.

    Nicknames

A friend of mine did  a blog about their family names and nicknames.  I thought what a cute idea, I have to copy:)  Thanks Lera!

Molly Marie.  I think I have a name that is not too popular.  I haven’t met many with that beautiful:) name. As a child I was called M&M (Molly Marie Murphy), Molly McButtter, and Molls.  Nothing to exciting or original.  There was one point in highschool my friend Megan called me Molly Moo Cow, I don’t remember how it came about.

Stoney Jack.  Now that is unique. It is his real, on birth certificate, given name.  Stoney was named after a God parent.  In crossing with people every once in a while someone will say “I know someone with that name”.  But I don’t think Stoney has met anyone with that given name.  You can imagine all the dorky nicknames he has heard, Stoner, Stoney Bologna. The nicknames that have stuck include Stone, Stone Dog, Stone Dragon (all from high school friends).  I call him Stoney J (Stoney Jack).

Ethan Stone.  We haven’t really given Ethan a nickname.  When he was a baby I called him my Monster.  When he first started saying his name he said “Ethie”, so we called him that for a while.  Maybe as he gets older more will come.

Jackson Lee.  Jackson is my Baby J. Has been since day one.  I think he always will be, or at least until another one comes around.  Ethan calls with Jaja or Jaxssons.

    What are your family nicknames????

    Quick notes

*My baby is walking!!!  Jackson is now full speed and is trying his very best at keeping up with his brother!!  I am so proud of his new accomplishment.  He is even doing fairly well with shoes on. Way to go Baby J!  I will get video, soon.

    *Happy Thanksgiving to all.

*Advice needed…  I am going to be very blunt.  Ethan has been tapping on my chest and asking “what those Mom?”  YIKES.  I just tell him it is part of my body, it is my chest.  I didn’t think he would be asking a question like this for a while.  I guess I need to be more prepared.  Any advive.  I swear this child is too smart.

*Work is going well for both Stoney and I.  We rarely see each other, so that is tough.  But you do what you gotta do for your family.

*Anyone who reads our blog and I don’t have you on our blog roll, please let me know.  I want to stay posted with everyone:)

    HALLOWEEN

This Halloween was the first one we took Ethan out trick or treating!!  We went out to my parents neighborhood, one because there are many people I know and two we live in such an industrial, scary neighborhood I wanted to be safe.   Ethan was Tigger and Jackson was Winnie the Pooh.  I loved their costumes, Ehtan’s I got at the DI for six dollars, and Jackson’s on EBAY for .99!!  Great deals if you ask me.  Ethan had been dressingup in his for weeks prior.  We had fun and lots lots of candy.
